The faces on the reels
The boy holding a gold ingot is the highest paying symbol: RM10.00 for five, RM3.75 for four and RM1.25 for three, as page 1 shows at a RM1.90 total bet. Next come the girl with a peach, a pink lotus, a blue folding fan and a round string instrument, then the letters A and K, and Q, J, 10 and 9.
Wins count on 243 ways. A combination starts on the leftmost reel and continues on adjacent reels; only the top win on each way is paid, and wins on different ways are added.
A Wild that can open the jackpot game
The god of wealth Wild appears on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 and replaces every symbol except the Scatter. Page 2 adds that whenever a Wild shows on screen in the base game, it can randomly start the JACKPOT BONUS GAME. The page does not give a figure for when this happens.
In that game you pick gold coins. Each coin reveals a jackpot symbol, and three of the same symbol win that jackpot. All four have fixed values against total bet:
- GRAND: 1000x total bet
- MAJOR: 100x total bet
- MINOR: 50x total bet
- MINI: 30x total bet
Scatter pays and free spins
The Scatter is a red and gold framed coin. It pays on its own, RM95.00 for five, RM19.00 for four and RM9.50 for three, and three or more from the leftmost reel on adjacent reels start 10 free spins. Three or more during the feature add 10 more, and page 3 closes with 'No limits!'.
Free spins use special reels. Page 3 shows which symbols stay: the Wild, the boy, the girl, the lotus, the fan, the string instrument and the Scatter. The card letters and numbers are not in that list.
What the rules pages do not print
Caishen's Gold opened at RM1.90 total bet, so every RM amount on its rules pages and in our table is read at RM1.90, not RM2.00. Bet limits, a maximum win, a buy option and an Ante Bet do not appear anywhere on these seven pages.
A calm way to play
Look at the paytable inside the game at the bet you choose, since the RM figures follow your stake. Decide your budget first, keep the bet small while you get to know the Wild and the jackpot coins, and stop when the budget is spent.
