Skull coins and the two chests
The MONEY symbol is a gold coin with a skull. It can land on any reel except in the top row, and each spin it takes a value of 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 40x (MINOR), 200x (MAJOR) or 2000x (GRAND) base bet. The rules pages list those three names only as coin values and do not mention a separate jackpot.
Two chests appear only on reel 6. A COLLECT chest landing with coins on other reels collects and pays the value of every coin on the screen. A RESPINS chest landing with at least one coin on another reel starts the RESPINS feature.
What happens once RESPINS start
All other symbols fade, leaving only blanks, coins and special symbols. The reel heights from the triggering spin stay for the whole round, and the coins already showing stay too. You start with 3 spins, and each new coin or modifier resets the count to 3. When the spins run out, every coin value on the screen is added up and paid.
Modifiers on the top row
In respins only modifiers can land on the top horizontal reel:
- COLLECT REEL: collects the coins on the reel below it
- COLLECT SCREEN: collects every coin on the screen
- MULTIPLY REEL: multiplies the coins below it by 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 50x or 100x
- MULTIPLY SCREEN: multiplies every coin on the screen by one of the same values
Changing reel heights and tumbles
Page 1 gives reels 1 and 6 room for up to 7 symbols and reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 room for up to 8; above reels 2 to 5 a separate top row turns right to left on its own. Put together, that allows at most 200704 ways. Wins are adjacent combinations from the leftmost reel. After each win the winning symbols disappear and new ones fall in until nothing else wins. The Wild, a sunken ship with a tentacle, lands on reels 2 to 5 and replaces every symbol except the RESPINS chest.
Ante Bet 40x, the respin buy and 5,000x
At bet multiplier 20x the game runs as Normal play; at 40x Buy Respins is disabled and symbols still pay as for 20x. Buying the RESPINS round costs 100x current base bet; this guide does not suggest buying. A round that reaches 5,000x bet ends at once. Bets run from RM0.20 to RM960.00.
Tips before you sail
Paytable amounts are RM at a total bet of RM2.00 and move with your bet. Agree a budget with yourself first, keep the stake small while reel 6 and the top row become familiar, and stop when it is spent.
Captain Kraken Megaways paytable
RM amounts the rules page shows at a total bet of RM2.00 for 6, 5, 4, 3 (captain also 2) matching symbols on adjacent reels; they change with your bet.
