Reading wins in two directions
Page 1 says all symbols pay from left to right and from right to left on adjacent reels, starting from the leftmost or the rightmost reel. So a line of three matching symbols counts whether it runs from reel 1 or from reel 5. One line on the page settles the obvious question: 5 of a kind wins are paid once, in a single direction.
Page 2 draws the 9 paylines and adds the usual rules: only the highest win is paid per line, and wins on several lines are added together.
The festive Wild that doubles
The Wild shows a smiling traditional festive figure in a gold hat with a long black beard. It appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4 and substitutes for all symbols. Every winning combination that contains at least one substituting Wild is multiplied by 2x. No pay is printed for the Wild by itself.
The 福 coin Scatter
The Scatter is a round gold coin with the character 福. It can land on all reels and, like the line symbols, it pays left to right and right to left on adjacent reels from the leftmost or rightmost reel. At RM1.80 the page shows RM180.00 for 5, RM18.00 for 4, RM9.00 for 3 and RM1.80 for 2.
The rules pages do not mention free spins, a bonus game, a jackpot, a buy feature or an Ante Bet, and they print no maximum win and no theoretical return figure.
Symbols of good fortune
The white lucky cat with a raised paw is the top symbol and the only one that pays for a single symbol: RM0.40 for one, up to RM1,000.00 for five. A tree of gold coins, mandarin oranges on a pile of coins and a green coin jar follow, each paying from two of a kind. The letters A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 pay from three.
Why the numbers are at RM1.80
This game opens at a total bet of RM1.80, not RM2.00, and the paytable on page 1 was read at that bet. All RM amounts in this guide are what the rules page shows at RM1.80, and they change when you change the bet. The bet menu uses COINS PER LINE and COIN VALUE fields.
Playing with a plan
Before you spin, set a budget and pick a small bet. Check the paytable at your own bet, since it follows the bet you choose, and stop when the budget is used up.
Master Chen's Fortune paytable
RM amounts the rules page shows at a total bet of RM1.80, the bet the game opens at, for 5 to 1 symbols on a payline; they change with your bet.
