Twenty-five lines and stacked reels
Page 4 of the rules says the game pays on 25 lines and draws every line pattern. Each line is read from the leftmost reel to the right across adjacent reels; a line pays only its highest win, and all winning lines are added up.
Page 2 adds the rule that shapes the look of the base game: during normal spins all the symbols are stacked except for the Scatter. The four character symbols and the Wild also pay for just 2 of a kind on a line; the four emblems start paying at 3.
The characters on the reels
The biggest character pay belongs to a warrior in red armour wearing a gold crested helmet. Next come a white-haired woman in a purple robe, a white-haired swordsman with a blue headband and a dark-haired woman with a red headband holding a staff. Four round emblems in red, purple, blue and green, each with a crest or blades, complete the set.
The armoured Wild and the dragon medallion
The Wild is an armoured figure in a gold horned helmet and dark face mask with a WILD label. It substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter and also has its own pay, the largest on the paytable. The rules pages do not say which reels it can land on.
The Scatter is a gold dragon head medallion. Three or more anywhere on the reels trigger the Free Spins round with 5 free spins. No Scatter pay values are printed.
Choosing one of five options
At the start of the round you choose one out of five options, each with a different stacked symbol and win multiplier. The picture on page 3 shows five SUPER STACKED cards: 1x with the Wild figure, 2x with the red-helmet warrior, 3x with the white-haired woman, 4x with the white-haired swordsman and 5x with the dark-haired woman.
Special reels are used in the round. Each option has its own reel set with a single stacked symbol based on your choice. The rules pages only list the options; they do not compare them.
More spins without a limit
Three or more Scatters during the round add 3 more free spins, played with the option you already chose. The page ends that line with No limits!, and it prints no cap on retriggers or on the total win. Free spins wins are added to the payline win.
Playing at a steady pace
The paytable shows RM amounts at a total bet of RM2.00 that move with your bet. Set a budget, start small, treat the option screen as a choice of style, and stop when the budget is spent.
Rise of Samurai paytable
RM amounts the rules page shows at a total bet of RM2.00 for 5, 4, 3 or 2 symbols on a line; they change with your bet.
