How a line win is counted
The Help Page describes Halloween Vacation as a 5 reels, 50 lines slot. Wins need adjacent symbols on an active payline from the leftmost reel, left to right, except SCATTER wins. On each payline only the highest win is awarded, wins on different paylines are added together, and SCATTER wins are added to the line wins.
Line wins = Credit X the paytable multiplier, and SCATTER wins = Total Bet X the paytable multiplier. Total bet per game round = Value X Level X Credit, and the Spin Cost example on the page reads 0.01 X 1 X 50 = 0.50.
WILD and SCATTER in the main game
In the main game the WILD appears randomly on reels 3, 4 and 5 and substitutes all other symbols except the SCATTER.
SCATTER symbols appear randomly anywhere on the reels during the main game. The Paytable prints 2.50 for 3, 5.00 for 4 and 12.50 for 5 of them, and 3 or more trigger the Free Game Feature. SCATTER symbols do not appear during the free game.
Free Game: the WILD on Reel 2 or 4 stays put
3, 4 or 5 SCATTER symbols award 8 Free Spins. During the feature the WILD appears on Reel 2, 3 and 4 only. When a WILD appears on Reel 2 or Reel 4, it is held in that position until the end of the free game.
Free Game: the Expanding WILD on Reel 3
A WILD on Reel 3 turns into an Expanding WILD, and a win combination with that WILD is rewarded with a x2 multiplier. On the next spin the multiplier on the Expanding WILD increases to x4, on the spin after that to x8, and on the following spin it disappears.
If the Expanding WILD appears on the last or second last free spin, extra free spins are given until the WILD reaches the x8 multiplier, and then the free game ends. The Total Bet during the feature stays the same as the spin that triggered it, and the Free Game ends when no free spins remain.
Bet settings and buttons
Value, Level and Bet are each changed with + and -, or by sliding up or down on mobile; on the web version the Total Bet can also be picked straight from a list. Auto Play runs from 10 rounds to infinity, the Spacebar starts and stops spins, and a malfunction voids all pays and plays.
