What happens inside one spin
The Help Page and the Paytable describe the order of events in a spin:
- Line wins are calculated and paid.
- The winning combination is removed and new symbols cascade down, while new wins appear.
- In the main game, each consecutive win adds a blue diamond to the combo bar.
- During cascades the BONUS symbols hold their place; the Bonus Game waits until every win is calculated.
- If both features trigger, the Bonus Game is played first, then the Free Game.
15 lines and how they pay
Each active payline reads from the leftmost reel to the right, with symbols next to each other. A line pays only its highest win; wins from separate lines are summed. All line wins are multiplied by credits bet per line: Line wins = Credit X Corresponding multiplier according to paytable. The lines are drawn numbered 1 to 15.
From combos to Free Spins
The combo bar is reset to zero when no more new wins appear in the spin. What it awards:
- 4 combos: 4 Free Spins.
- 5 combos: 5 Free Spins.
- 6 combos: 10 Free Spins.
- 7 and above: 20 Free Spins.
The Bonus Game: swords or a shield
You get 3 picks, each 1 of 3 hidden choices. The single sword and the crossed swords make the warrior attack the lion for x10 and x20 total bet, and the picks left stay the same. The shield makes the lion attack instead: x3 total bet, and one pick fewer. The game ends when no picks remain, at the Total Bet of the triggering spin.
WILD, BONUS and the limits of each feature
In the main game and free game the WILD can land on any reel and stands in for all but BONUS. BONUS symbols land only on reels 1, 2 and 3 of the main game and add nothing to total win. During free spins neither the Bonus Game nor more free spins can be triggered. The Free Game keeps the Total Bet of its triggering spin.
Buy Features and the paytable
The Buy Features panel prints three options: Bonus Game at x50 Total Bet, 20 Free Spins at x50 and 45 Free Spins at x100.
On the Paytable page the WILD shows 32.00 for 5, level with five helmeted gladiators. The fighter crossing two blades, the long-haired fighter and the grey-haired man follow, then the gold eagle coin; the silver and bronze eagle shields both print 1.20, 0.40 and 0.20.
Roma paytable
Values as printed on the Paytable page (1. Symbols Payout Values) for 5, 4 and 3 symbols; the page says all line wins are multiplied by credits bet per line. For the WILD only a 5-symbol value is printed.
