How 45 ways pay
There are no lines to follow. Starting from the leftmost reel, matching symbols pay on adjacent reels from left to right, so a three-of-a-kind can use any spot on reel 1, any of the five spots on reel 2 and any spot on reel 3. Only the highest amount on each way is paid, and all winning ways are added together.
What differs from Joker Coins
Both help pages print the same coin values, the same four jackpot coins and the same Lock and Respin rules. Two things differ. Joker Coins is a 3 x 3 game with 5 paylines, while Expanded uses the 3-5-3 board and 45 ways. The 3-symbol pays are also printed lower here: the 777 Wild pays 15.00 against 50.00 on Joker Coins, and Cherries 0.50 against 1.00, both for a bet of 1.
The help page of Joker Coins also describes a Joker Multiplier Feature in the bonus game. The Expanded help page does not mention that feature.
The coins and the jester coin
The plain Joker Coin and the four jackpot coins land only on reels 1 and 3. A plain coin shows your bet times x1, x2, x3, x5, x7 or x10; MINI, MINOR, MAJOR and GRAND pay 15, 25, 100 and 1000 times the bet.
The coin with a jester's face lands only on reel 2. When reel 1 or reel 3 holds a Joker Coin and the jester coin appears, it collects every coin bonus on the board. When all three reels show at least one coin, Lock and Respin starts. The help page says such cash prizes are paid without a winning way.
Lock and Respin and the coin pile
Coin bonuses from the main game are carried into the round, and only coins and the jester coin appear. The jester coin stays on reel 2 and collects all coin prizes each time a Joker Coin lands on reel 1 or 3; collected coins then vanish. You get 3 spins, any special symbol resets the count to 3, and at 0 the prizes are settled.
In the main game Joker Coins also fly into a pile above the reels, which may trigger a Joker Coin Toss of 1 to 9 coins. The help page says the size of the pile does not affect the probability of triggering it or free spins, and it does not describe a free spins round.
A calm way to play
Pays are shown for a bet of 1 and move with your bet level, so open the paytable at your own bet first. Fix a budget, use small bets while the 45-way board becomes familiar, and end the session when the budget is used.
