Reading a winning line
Forty line shapes are sketched on page 2, each tagged with a number from 1 to 40. A line wins when at least three matching symbols sit side by side on it, starting from the leftmost reel. Only the best combination on a line is paid, and the line wins are summed. Page 2 works in coins per line, while this guide quotes the cash amounts that page 1 shows at the RM2.00 total bet.
Three tiers of fruit
Going by the amounts printed on page 1, the six fruits fall into three groups:
- Top tier: the red apple, RM60.00 for five, RM12.50 for four, RM0.75 for three.
- Middle tier: the orange and the plums, RM11.50, RM2.50 and RM0.75.
- Lower tier: cherries, lemon and bananas, RM5.50, RM1.25 and RM0.50.
The flaming gem Wild
The Wild is an orange gem wrapped in flames with a WILD label. It substitutes for every symbol except the Scatter. Page 1 also prints its own amounts: RM125.00 for five, RM35.00 for four and RM2.50 for three at a total bet of RM2.00.
Bells off the lines
The gold bell is the Scatter, and page 1 says it pays on any position rather than along a line. At RM2.00 the bell row reads RM10.00 for three, RM30.00 for four and RM1,000.00 for five. The pages do not link the bell to any extra round.
Controls on pages 3 to 5
The remaining pages cover the buttons. Plus and minus open the bet menu, where the number of lines and the COINS PER LINE and COIN VALUE fields set the bet. A speed button switches between normal, quick spin and turbo spin, and tapping the CREDIT or BET label switches between coins and cash. Autoplay has a SKIP SCREENS option, and the settings menu holds the game history.
Outside these five pages
Across pages 1 to 5 there is no mention of free spins, bonus rounds, multipliers, a Buy Feature, a jackpot or a gamble option, and no maximum win figure appears.
A calm session
With a minimum of RM0.40, a small stake is easy to set. Decide your budget before the first spin, check the amounts at your own bet, and stop when the budget is finished. Treat each session as paid entertainment, not a way to make money.
Shining Hot 40 paytable
