The five rule lines
Under the line pictures the PAYLINE page prints its rules in capitals. All symbols pay left to right and right to left. A single line can pay both ways, but only the highest win pays, per direction. 5 of a kind pays only once. Payline wins are multiplied by the line bet. The last line says malfunctions void all plays and pays.
Paytable, box by box
Each picture on page 1 stands next to a small box of numbers written as 5x, 4x, 3x and so on. The golden lion is the only picture with a 1x entry. The dragon and the box shared by the phoenix and the koi pair start at 2x, and the letter and number boxes start at 3x. A and K have a box each, while Q and J share one and 10 and 9 share one.

The WILD and SCATTER boxes
The large box at the top centre of page 1 holds a bearded figure in a red hat with the word WILD under it. No numbers are printed in that box, and neither page says which symbols the WILD replaces.
The box below it holds a gold ingot marked SCATTER, with 5x 100, 4x 10, 3x 5 and 2x 1. The help pages do not say what the scatter numbers are multiplied by, and no free games or bonus round are described.
The nine line pictures
Lines 1, 2 and 3 run straight across their picture: 2 at the top, 1 in the middle and 3 at the bottom. Lines 4 and 5 are drawn as V shapes in opposite directions, lines 6 and 7 as crossing zigzags, and lines 8 and 9 together form a six-sided outline.
Dollar Ball header
Both help pages carry a DOLLAR BALL PAYTABLE label at the top. The pages say nothing more about Dollar Ball, so this guide does not either.
