Board, lines and how wins are counted
Golden Queen uses 5 reels and 4 rows with 40 paylines, shown on the help page as a diagram. The game rules give one formula: Winnings = Pay x (Bet / 40). The paytable is dynamic and shown for a bet of 1, so the amounts on screen follow the bet you select. The direction of line wins is not described in words.
How the scarab works
When a normal scarab appears, it changes into a Scarab Wild. The help page says the scarab only appears in the 3rd round of the main game and in the 2nd to 4th rounds during free games. On a five-reel board 'round' reads as a reel position, but the page does not explain the word.
For each scarab wild, 1 to 4 scarabs fly out at random and turn symbols into WILD cards. A scarab that reaches a WILD gives it a multiplying factor, and a scarab reaching a WILD that already has one makes the factor accumulate. Factors on the same winning line multiply with each other. No range is printed; the pictures only show x8 as an example.
Four kinds of wild
The help page lists four wilds with the same effect: the normal Wild, the normal Wild with a multiplying factor, the Wild made by a scarab and the scarab Wild with a factor. All substitute for every symbol except the Scatter and the Scarab, and they share one paytable row.
Bonus icon and 8 free games
The Bonus icon, a tile with pyramids, only appears in the 1st, 3rd and 5th rounds of the main game. When it lands in all three, you enter 8 rounds of free games, where the scarab can land in the 2nd to 4th rounds.
The page prints no pay for the Bonus icon and does not say whether free games can be won again. The rules also say scatter symbols appear on the first reel only, but no separate scatter is pictured, so it is unclear which symbol that means.
The queen and the other symbols
The Golden Queen pays the same as the wilds. The help page notes she appears as a single symbol but 'have chance to triggered full symbol on the reel', and a full-reel version is pictured. Below her come the pharaoh mask, the Anubis head and the cobra, then A, K, Q and J.
Playing within your limits
Check your bet before you spin, since the dynamic paytable shows what each symbol pays at that level. Start small while you learn how the scarabs behave, set a budget for the session and stop when it is used. A malfunction voids all pays and plays.
