How Fengshen works
Fengshen has 6 reels and 4 rows with 4096 ways. Wins pay in succession from the leftmost reel to the right, according to the paytable. A small diagram on the help page marks one example as YES and four as NO, which matches the left-to-right rule: a combination has to start on the first reel.
The paytable shows four character symbols and the letters A, K, Q and J. Each symbol pays for 3, 4, 5 or 6 in a row.
Spell Transformation
This is the main game twist. The help page says symbols in winning lines undergo "Spell Transformation" into a new symbol and are then re-evaluated for more hits. So one spin can pay, change the winning symbols and pay again. The help page does not say which new symbol appears or how many times this can repeat in a row, so we will not guess.
Wild and Bonus symbols
The Wild is the red Feng Shen logo. It substitutes for all symbols except the Bonus symbol, a golden temple with the word BONUS. Neither the Wild nor the Bonus symbol has its own row of pay values in the paytable.
Free Game and the bonus multiplier
The help page sentence reads: "When the Bonus appears on 6 each reel that will activate Free Game with 10 rounds." The wording points to a Bonus symbol on each of the 6 reels, but it is not phrased clearly, and the help page does not say whether the free game can be won again.
In the free game, the help page says any high odds symbol "has a chance to turn into a Wild symbol". Each Wild then raises the bonus multiplier by 1 for that round and every round after it, up to 10X. The help page formula is: Payouts = Bet X Lines X Pay X Bonus Multiplier.
Reading the paytable
Payouts are shown for a bet of 1, and the game uses a dynamic paytable, so the numbers in the game change with the bet you select. At a bet of 1, six white-bearded sages show 10.00, while three J symbols show 0.02. Check the paytable inside the game at your own bet before you spin.
Playing Fengshen sensibly
Decide on a budget before you start and keep the bet small while you learn how the transformations and the multiplier look on screen. Nothing in the help page tells you when the free game will come, so do not chase it. If a malfunction happens, all pays and plays are void; a round already decided after your bet stays valid.
