What makes Dark Vortex different
The headline rule is in the bonus: when you land 3 or more scatters you enter the bonus game with 8 free spins that already carry a x2 multiplier. You then pick 2 out of 5 balls, and each ball can add more free spins and/or a bigger multiplier.
The help page caps this at up to 33 free spins or up to a x15 multiplier, so the x2 you start with is a floor, not the ceiling.
The reels and the monster cast
The game runs on 5 reels and 3 rows with 25 lines. The cast is a red demon and a purple beast at the top, a blue hound, Medusa and a green ghoul in the middle, and stone-carved A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 below.
Wins are listed from 2 to 5 of a kind. The help page does not say whether pays are multiplied by line bet or total bet.
Wild and scatter
- The gold carved WILD block replaces every symbol except the scatter and doubles each win it is part of; the paytable shows both the normal and the doubled amounts.
- Five Wilds pay 10,000; four pay 2,500; three pay 250; two pay 10.
- The gold disc with an eye is the scatter: 5 = 500, 4 = 20, 3 = 5, 2 = 2.
Retriggers inside the bonus
Landing 3 or more scatters during free spins wins 15 additional free spins, played with the same multiplier as the spin that triggered them. The help page says more free spins can be won during free spins without limit.
Red or black gamble
After a win you can go to the gamble screen and guess whether the next card is red or black, or press Collect to keep the win. MAJOR, RANDOM and MINOR meters sit above the reels; the help pages do not explain them.
Opening it at BolehSpin
BolehSpin runs Mega888 as H5 in your browser, so you skip the APK and the separate test ID. One BolehSpin login and balance cover Dark Vortex and every other game in the lobby.
A calmer way to play a dark slot
A bonus that starts at x2 can feel tempting, but it still only comes from the scatters. Decide your bet and your stop point before the first spin, keep the gamble for small amounts only if you use it at all, and take breaks.
