What is on the reels
The treasure set is the heart of the paytable: a ruby amulet at the top, an amethyst ring, and a spellbook marked with a dragon. A dragon shield and a gauntlet share the next row. Instead of the usual A, K, Q and J, the lowest symbols are the four card suits: spade and heart on one row, club and diamond on the other.
Your balance on the main screen is labelled CREDITS, next to the LINES 20 and BET controls.
How a win is counted
Lines pay from left to right only, and each line pays its single highest win. The help page states that line wins are multiplied by the line bet. The top three treasures already pay for 2 in a row: the ruby amulet pays 5, the ring 3 and the spellbook 2. Everything else needs at least 3.
The maiden on reels 2 and 4
The dragon maiden substitutes for all symbols but has no pay value of her own. Her real job is the feature: land her on reel 2 and reel 4 in the same spin and the bonus starts.
- The trigger spin pays its normal wins first.
- Reels 2 and 4 expand, so every position on them acts as a wild, the scatter included.
- Reels 1, 3 and 5 are spun again 5 times.
- Each expanded reel counts only once towards scatter pays.
- The respins use the same lines and bet, and their wins are added to your total.
A note on the help text
The free game page of Dragon Maiden says the feature starts when the 'red car' appears on reels 2 and 4. There is no car in this game; it is text copied from another Mega888 title, and it means the dragon maiden wild.
Dragon head scatter and gamble
The red dragon head pays wherever it lands: 5 pay 100, 4 pay 10 and 3 pay 3. After any win you can take the red or black card gamble, which pays even money for a right guess, or press COLLECT to keep the win.
