The crew of the tower
The man in the top hat pays 1,800 for five, 450 for four, 100 for three and 5 for two. The blonde woman pays 1,000, 200, 50 and 3. The mechanical dragon and the tower symbol share 750, 75 and 20. The letters pay the same as in other games of this layout: A and K 500, 25, 10; Q and J 150, 20, 5; 10 and 9 100, 15, 5.
Steam Power
The gears substitute for everything except the Light scatter. In the base game a win that includes Steam Power is doubled; the paytable prints that doubled figure in a WITH column. The help spells it 'apper', but the meaning is clear.
Free games up to 16x
Three or more Lights anywhere award 15 free games, played at the lines and bet of the triggering spin.
- When Steam Power substitutes in a win during the free games, the prize is multiplied by 2, 3 or 4.
- Two Steam Power symbols in the same win combine their multipliers, up to 16x.
- The feature can be re-triggered.
A brighter scatter
Here the Light pays 100 for five, 25 for four and 15 for three, multiplied by the total wager. That 15 for three is the main number that sets Steam Tower apart from Masquerade and Pond of Riches, where three scatters pay 5. All other symbols pay from left to right; only the Light pays anywhere.
What the help leaves out
Like Pond of Riches, Steam Tower prints only one rules page, and the second page dot repeats it. There is no progressive-jackpot text and no maximum-win line, so the JACKPOT, MINOR and MAJOR meters on screen are not explained and this guide does not state a cap.
Keep the pressure low
The default screen shows 0.05 per line on 20 lines, a total of 1.00. Set the stake you are comfortable with, give the session a budget and stop when it is used.
