The captain box
The top right box on page 1 shows a bearded captain in a yellow coat and a sailor cap. It prints 200 for 5, 20 for 4, 2 for 3 and 1 for 2. Beside the numbers are two lines: the prizes are multiplied by the total bet, and 3 or more appear will win 7 free games. The page does not use the word SCATTER for the captain.
The octopus box
The first box on page 1 shows an orange octopus with two rules. It substitutes for all symbols except the captain, and a small captain picture in the text marks that exception. The prize is multiplied by 2 when the octopus is in a winning combination. The box prints no pay values for the octopus and does not call it WILD.
The four FREE GAMES rules
The right half of page 1 lists four rules under FREE GAMES:
- Feature will be played at the lines and bet of the triggering game.
- 1 extra free game is awarded whenever the captain appears.
- All prizes are multiplied by 3.
- The feature cannot be retriggered.
The example screen
On the left of the FREE GAMES rules, an example screen shows the counters that the feature uses: SPINS LEFT, MULTIPLIER with X 3, and TOTAL WIN. Two captains can be seen on its reels. The page gives no other free game rule than the four lines above.
Page 2: the paytable
Page 2 lists ten symbols in two rows. The first three print a value for 2 of a kind; the rest start at 3:
- Fishing boat: 5000, 250, 50, 5
- Lighthouse: 2500, 150, 25, 3
- Crab: 500, 100, 15, 2
- Fish: 300, 50, 10
- Compass, boots and rope: 200, 25, 5 each
- Harpoon, life ring and worm on a hook: 100, 15, 5 each
Rule lines and the 25 paylines
Three lines run under the symbols: all symbols begin with the leftmost reel and pay left to right only on adjacent reels on an active payline; all wins are multiplied by the line bet; only the highest win is paid on each payline. Below them, a chart draws paylines numbered 1 to 25. Neither page prints a jackpot, gamble or buy rule. Set yourself a spending limit before playing and stick to it.
