How the Ascent feature works
Reels 2, 3 and 4 begin at 4 symbols high and can grow to 5, 6 and 7. Above reels 2 and 4 sits a closed wooden door; above reel 3 the reward stays SUPER CHARGE. The help page says that at the start of each round there is a chance for a purple arrow and a gold arrow to appear on these reels.
A purple arrow raises the reel by one symbol. The gold arrow appears at most once per round, lifts its reel straight to 7 symbols and claims the reward above. Behind a door you find CHARGE, SUPER CHARGE or 8 FREE GAME x3 x5.
The three rewards
After any of these, the reel goes back to 4 symbols on the following spin. The help page notes that a winning bison combination can be made up of different bison symbols.
- CHARGE: turns 1 or more symbols on the reels into the purple bison.
- SUPER CHARGE: turns 3 or more symbols on the reels into the golden bison.
- 8 FREE GAME: gives 8 free games in which a landing Wild must be x3 or x5.
Scatter, Wild and free games
The gold buffalo coin Scatter lands on reels 1 to 5 and pays on its own: 3, 4 or 5 pay 1, 5 or 10 times the total bet. In the base game the same counts trigger 8, 15 or 20 free games. Inside the free games, 2, 3, 4 or 5 Scatters add another 5, 8, 15 or 20.
The canyon WILD appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4 and replaces every symbol except the Scatter and the two arrows. In free games each landing Wild carries x2 or x3, or x3 or x5 if you came in through the 8 FREE GAME reward. The help page does not explain how several Wild multipliers combine. When a free game starts, the reels keep the same shape they had in the base game.
Ways and paytable
Wins pay from left to right on a flexible number of ways, up to 5488, and are added together. The bison pays from 2 symbols; the eagle, bear, wolf, moose and cards A to 9 need 3. The help page gives 'Winnings for normal bet mode = Payout x Bet' and describes no other bet mode.
Stay in control
Values are shown for a bet of 1 and move with your bet level. Choose a budget, try low stakes while you watch the reels rise and reset, and end the session when the budget runs out.
