How Medusa works
Medusa uses 243 ways. Winning symbols must appear consecutively from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel, and only the highest prize per line is paid. The reel and row count is not written out.
The help page says: "Increase your bets to increase Symbol odds and unlock Scatter Win Points!" The paytable lists four symbols first, then eight more under "Increase your bet to unlock"; which bet unlocks which symbol is not printed.
Red gems and Win Points
The red gem in a golden snake setting starts the free game: 6 or more anywhere on the field. Each red gem carries random Win Points; the help page says the higher the bet, the more types and the greater the amount. The main screen shows the red gem status for your bet. No Win Point amounts are printed.
A purple WILD symbol is named only in the list of symbols missing from Free Spin; the help page does not explain what it does.
Step by Step mode
It starts with 6 rounds. Symbols cannot form paylines, but green gems, yellow gems and Medusa symbols can spin in. A green gem takes all red gem values on the board. A yellow gem takes all red, green and yellow gem values. A Medusa arrives with a random Win Point and adds all red, green and yellow gems to it. The order is Medusa, then green, then yellow.
A +1 SPIN symbol can add rounds. When rounds run out, all gem and Medusa points are added up. If 15 of these symbols are collected, the free game is settled and its total is doubled (2x).
Free Spin mode
It starts with 8 rounds. Q, K, A, WILD and the red gem do not appear. Red gem values are added into "Scatter Win Points" at the start. A red Medusa can give a Scatter Win Point bonus and +1 round. At the end, payline rewards are added to the Scatter Win Points. With 8 or more red Medusa collected, the payline total is 2x.
If you do not choose a mode within a certain time, the game picks one at random.
The EX icon
With EX, Step by Step starts with 8 rounds and the red gem and Medusa become a purple gem and a gold Medusa, which triggers "extra bonus effects" every round (not described further). In Free Spin, EX gives 10 rounds and the gold Medusa adds +1x Scatter Win Points next round. The help page does not say what EX is, how to turn it on or what it costs.
Tips for Medusa
