Lines, Wild and the falling reels
Thor X has 5 reels, 3 rows and 15 paylines. Wins pay left to right from the leftmost reel, only the highest win on a line is paid and line wins are added together. The Wild is a glowing hammer marked WILD; it can land on every reel and stands in for every symbol except BONUS. Five Wilds also have their own pay.
Every win starts a cascade. The winning symbols on the winning line, plus any BONUS symbols on screen, disappear; the rest fall down within their reel and new symbols fill the gaps, until no line wins. The help page caps this at 100 cascading wins per spin, main game or free spin.
Free spins from a chain of cascades
In the main game, one spin with 4 or more consecutive cascading wins starts the free games:
- 4 cascades in a row: 4 free spins
- 5 cascades in a row: 5 free spins
- 6 cascades in a row: 10 free spins
- 7 cascades in a row: 20 free spins
Adding spins inside the free games
Inside free games, 4 cascades in one spin add +4, 5 add +5, 6 add +10, and 7 or more add +20. Free games keep the bet setting of the spin that started them.
The Bonus Game: three choices per battle
The BONUS symbol, a golden horned frame around a rainbow and a tall citadel, lands only on reels 1, 2 and 3. Three of them from left to right on a payline start the Bonus Game, in the main game or in free games. The help page says Thor fights several battles with Fel Wolf with 3 chances; each Fel Wolf attack costs one, and the bonus ends when none are left.
Each battle offers three options. Mjolnir is a strong attack worth 20x total bet if it lands; Hammer is worth 10x total bet if it lands. For both, the help page says Fel Wolf has a chance to dodge, and after a hit Fel Wolf has a chance to attack back; a dodge means nothing happens and the next battle begins. Picking Fel Wolf means the wolf attacks, and the player can win 3x total bet. If you do not choose in time, the system picks at random. No figures are given for those chances.
A bonus started during free games pauses them until it ends, and a cascade in progress waits with its symbols held on screen.
Keeping it in proportion
The paytable is shown for a bet of 1 and follows your bet level. Set a budget first, keep each bet small against it and stop when it is spent; a long cascade chain cannot be planned for.
