How House of Doom works
The reels sit in a dark mansion, with a ram skull, a blindfolded woman and a burning rose among the symbols. There are 5 reels, 3 rows and 25 numbered paylines; BET and LINES are set with - and + below the reels. Wins pay left to right only, except the skull scatter, which pays anywhere. Only the highest win pays per line, and payline wins are multiplied by the line bet.
The wild doubles all wins
The HOUSE OF DOOM logo is the wild. It substitutes for all symbols except the scatter and doubles all wins. The logo also pays on its own: 10000 for five, 2500 for four, 250 for three and 10 for two.
So every symbol on the help pages has a second column headed WILD: the pay when a wild helps form the line, exactly double the normal pay. Five blindfolded women pay 750, or 1500 with a wild. The table below shows the normal pays; double them for a line that includes the wild.
The skull scatter and the bonus
The horned skull in a red frame is the scatter. It pays 500 for five, 20 for four, 5 for three and 2 for two, in any position. The help page does not say what the scatter pay is multiplied by.
Three or more scatters start the bonus:
- You automatically win 8 free spins with an x2 multiplier as you enter the bonus game.
- You then choose 2 of 5 skulls for additional free spins and/or multipliers (the help picture is captioned 'PICK 2 SHELLS'; the text says 'sea Skull').
- In total you can win up to 33 free spins or up to an x15 multiplier.
- 3 or more scatters during free spins win 15 additional free spins, played with the same multiplier as the triggering spin.
- The help page adds that more free spins can be won during free spins 'infintely'.
Gamble: red or black
After a win you can open the gamble screen and choose whether the next card will be red or black. The help page example shows a bet of 1.60 with 'DOUBLE TO 3.20'. COLLECT takes your current win back to the main game. The help page does not say what happens on a wrong guess.
Jackpot meters
MAJOR, RANDOM and MINOR meters run above the reels, but none of the six help pages explains how they are won.
Tips for House of Doom
The ram skull and the blindfolded woman are the top picture symbols at 750 for five, and both also pay for two of a kind, as does the 9. Pick a line bet that suits your budget, set a stop point and treat the gamble as optional. At BolehSpin, Mega888 H5 runs on one account with no APK.
House of Doom paytable
Numbers are multiplied by your line bet; with a wild in the line the pay is doubled (the help page's WILD column), and the help page does not give the unit for scatter pays.
