Scatters and the Free Game
The Free Game section shows three SCATTER symbols side by side, followed by its rules. Three scatters appearing on reels 2, 3 and 4 trigger 8 Free Games. Landing another 3 scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4 triggers an additional 8 Free Games.
In the symbol table the Scatter comes first and is printed with a single value: 3: 1.20. No value is printed for 4 or 5 scatters. The panel names no multiplier for the Free Game.
The Wild and Stacked Wild
The Wild is a magnifying glass labelled WILD. It substitutes for all symbols except scatter, and the table prints its values as 5: 10.00, 4: 2.00 and 3: 0.50.
The Stacked Wild section has one sentence: Wild symbols appear stacked in Base Game and Free Game. Its example picture shows three columns filled with WILD symbols from top to bottom.
40 lines from the left
The 40 Lines section draws each line as a small diagram on a grid of four rows and five columns. Line 1 runs along the second row from the top, line 2 along the third row, line 3 along the top row and line 4 along the bottom row; lines 5 to 40 pass through more than one row.
The betting line wins if the winning symbols are in succession from the leftmost reel to the right. The panel says nothing about paying from right to left. Only the highest win per bet line is paid.
Paying symbols and gaming terms
After the Wild, the table lists ten paying symbols: a young man with a pipe, a top hat, a notebook with a pen, a pipe, and A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9. Each is printed with values for 5, 4 and 3 symbols. The top hat, notebook and pipe share the same figures, as do A and K, Q and J, and 10 and 9. The help page does not state what these values are based on, so the table below shows them exactly as printed.
The panel closes with Gaming Terms: malfunction voids all pays and plays. It prints no rule for buying a feature or for an extra bet.
Crack the Case paytable
