What the panel lists at the top
The Paytable panel opens with two labelled symbols that carry no pay values. The first is the Scatter, a treasure chest above the word SCATTER. The second is the Mystery Symbol, a cracked egg above the word MYSTERY. Below them come eight paying symbols: four character pictures and the letters A, K, Q and J, each printed with a value for 5, 4 and 3 of a kind.
The panel prints no Wild symbol, and it prints no rule for buying a feature or for an extra bet.
How the Mystery Feature works
The Mystery Feature section has two short rules. Mystery symbols may appear at any time, granting a random number. Depending on the number, the Mystery symbol will move to another reel and reveal any symbol, including Scatters.
The example picture in that section shows an egg marked with the number 5 and small arrows, and an egg marked with a question mark. The panel does not print a list of the numbers or a table of which reel each number leads to, so this guide does not add one.
The Free Game round
Three scatters appearing anywhere on the reels will trigger 5 Free Games with a x2 Multiplier. Each additional scatter appearing during the initial trigger will award +1 Free Game. Landing another 3 or more scatters triggers an additional 5 or more Free Games.
The Mystery Feature rule above names Scatters among the symbols a Mystery symbol can reveal. The Free Game section itself prints no other change to the reels for the round.
Reading the 20 Lines section
The 20 Lines section draws each line as a small diagram on a grid of three rows and five columns. Line 1 runs along the top row, line 10 along the middle row and line 20 along the bottom row; the other lines zigzag between the rows.
Two rules sit under the diagrams. The betting line wins if the winning symbols are in succession from the leftmost reel to the right, and only the highest win per bet line is paid. The panel ends with a Gaming Terms line: malfunction voids all pays and plays.
Grove Guardian paytable
Values as printed on the help page for 5, 4 and 3 symbols; the help page does not state what the values are based on. The Scatter and the Mystery Symbol have no printed pay values.
