How ways are counted
The help page describes a 6-reel, 5-row slot with an additional reel on top of reels 2, 3, 4 and 5, played with 20 base bet for 2,025 ways up to 32,400 ways. Winning bet ways for each symbol are counted by multiplying the number of adjacent winning symbols on each reel from the leftmost reel to the right. The printed example: 1 x 3 x 2 = 6 ways, so a symbol paying 10 for three gives 10x6 = 60.
The winning symbol payout is multiplied by the number of winning bet ways. A bet way win in cash equals the Paytable value multiplied by the bet size and bet level. Simultaneous wins on different bet ways are added; all wins are shown in cash.
Exploding symbols and new rounds
After each round is paid, all winning symbols explode and the symbols above cascade down for a new round. New winning combinations are tallied every round until none are left.
Incoming Wilds: silver, gold, then Wild
During any spin, some symbols on reels 2, 3, 4 and/or 5 that occupy 2 to 4 symbol spaces can carry a silver frame (never Wild or Scatter). At every new round, once the new symbols have cascaded down:
- A silver-framed symbol that was in a win in the previous round becomes a randomly selected symbol (not Wild or Scatter) with a gold frame.
- A gold-framed symbol that was in a win in the previous round becomes 2 to 4 Wild symbols, depending on the symbol spaces it occupies.
Wild and Scatter
The Wild, a pink blossom branch on a gold-framed tile marked WILD, substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter. The Scatter is a gold dragon head on a round shield with two swords. Four or more Scatters anywhere trigger the Free Spins Feature with 10 Free Spins; each additional Scatter adds 2 more. Neither has printed pay values.
Liu Bei and the win multiplier
In any main game spin, each Liu Bei symbol that appears increases the win multiplier by 2 before wins are paid. The Paytable calls Liu Bei the Highest Payout Symbol, which also carries a multiplier of x2; the multiplier is collected and multiplied during payout.
Free Spins Feature and the buy button
The Free Spins start with a win multiplier of x2. In every free spin, each Liu Bei symbol adds 2 to it before wins are paid, and free spins can be retriggered. The screen shows a BUY FEATURE button; the panel prints no rule for it. Gaming Terms: malfunction voids all pays and plays.
Tao Yuan Brothers paytable
