Paying by count
The help page describes 3 rows and 5 reels with an extra special row on top. Winning symbols must start from the first reel and appear consecutively from left to right, at least three of them. The paytable then lists payouts by quantity, from 3 up to 20 or more. A small picture on the help page shows three connection patterns marked OK and three marked NO, for normal reels without splits. Only the highest win is paid on each symbol.
The sword Bonus row
The special row on top only shows four plaques. The help page says that when a Bonus lands in the special spin it will split the symbols under that reel, and split symbols count for more:
- Red crest plaque: no Bonus effect this round.
- One sword: every symbol under it counts as 2.
- Two swords: every symbol under it counts as 3.
- Three swords: every symbol under it counts as 4.
Wilds and Scatters that count more than once
The Wild, a samurai helmet emblem framed by golden leaves, comes in four versions: WILD, WILD 2, WILD 3 and WILD 4, counting as 1, 2, 3 and 4 symbols. It replaces every symbol except the Scatter and the Bonus. Every other symbol type can be split, but the Bonus cannot.
The Scatter is a purple castle, also in four versions that count as 1, 2, 3 and 4 Scatters. Collecting 3 or more on the board starts the free games.
Free games that remember the swords
Free games start with 7 rounds, and each Scatter above three adds 1 more. During free games each Scatter on the board adds another round, and the help page says there is no upper limit.
In free games the special reel records the Bonus it lands on and then only spins out a Bonus of equal or higher level. After the red crest it can show any of the four; after one sword, one to three swords; after two swords, two or three; after three swords, only three. Free games use the bet that triggered them.
Reading the table before you bet
Splits change how symbols are counted, so read the full paytable at your own bet first (shown for a bet of 1, following your bet level). Set a budget, keep bets small while you learn the count rules and stop when the budget is spent.
