The Twin Boards Special Event
According to the help page, the Special Event is always triggered as long as one board gets a win with a WILD combination. When that happens, the 1st and 3rd reel of the other board change into WILD, and that board gets one free respin. The help page sums it up as 'Respin for major hits!'.
So the feature does not need a scatter or a bonus symbol: a winning line that uses a Wild on either board is enough. The help page does not say what happens if both boards win with a Wild on the same spin.
Middle-reel multiplier
When the payline wins and a Wild appears on the middle reel, it always turns into a random multiplier, and the screen shows 'All prizes this round X2', 'X5' or 'X8'. The help page calls this 'extra gain'. It does not give a separate formula for how the multiplier combines with the Special Event respin, so we leave it at that.
Paylines and how wins are read
Bet line wins pay in succession starting from the leftmost reel to the right, according to the paytable. The line diagram shows one line, across the middle row. The paytable has four rows, all for three of a kind: the Wild, the gold ingot, the lucky coin and the red envelopes. There is no ANY row in this game's paytable.
The 1688 top prize
If Wilds appear on reels 1 to 3 in succession, the help page says you win the highest multiplier, 1688. In the paytable it is printed as 3 X 1,688.00 for a bet of 1. Because the Special Event turns reels 1 and 3 of the second board into Wild, a respin there only needs the middle reel to show a Wild to complete that line; the help page does not say anything about how likely that is.
