Pagodas, a river and 25 lines
The main screen shows a river valley with pagodas and boats, five reels of three rows and the chests on top. Page 5 pictures 25 paylines, paid left to right from the leftmost reel, and only the highest win per line counts.
At RM2.00 the god of wealth holding a gold ingot is the only symbol that pays for two: RM0.16 for 2, up to RM4.00 for 5. The green frog also pays RM4.00 for 5; the tortoise, rooster, koi and A pay RM2.40; K, Q, J and 10 pay RM1.20. The red 福 tile is the Wild: it stands in for every symbol except BONUS COIN and MONEY symbols, and no Wild pay is printed.
Three coins for three chests
In the base game a green, red or purple BONUS COIN can land. At the end of the spin each is collected in the chest of its colour, and each collection can randomly trigger the CHEST RESPIN. When it starts, one, two or three modifiers switch on at random, and the round plays with all of them:
- Green PROSPERITY: at the end of random respins, up to 3 coins on the screen get their value upgraded by a random amount.
- Red DOUBLE: the round is played on two grids of 5x3.
- Purple LONGEVITY: one extra respin, so the count starts at 4 and goes back to 4 each time a new MONEY symbol hits.
How a Chest Respin plays out
Normal symbols fade, leaving blanks and gold MONEY coins. The coins that triggered the round become MONEY symbols with their base-game amounts, which the rules pages do not list. Three respins are given; each MONEY coin stays, and any new one resets the count to 3.
A MONEY coin is worth 0.6x, 0.8x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 14x, 16x, 20x or 30x total bet, or MINI (10x), MINOR (20x) or MAJOR (150x). Play stops once no respins are left or the screen is full of MONEY symbols, and a full screen also brings the GRAND at 5000x total bet. All values are then added and paid. Free spins are not mentioned on the rules pages.
Two ways to buy the respin
Page 4 lists two buys: 50x total bet starts the CHEST RESPIN with 1, 2 or 3 modifiers at random, and 100x total bet starts the TRIPLE CHEST RESPIN with all three. Neither is suggested in this guide.
Cap and a light budget
Page 4 caps wins at 10,000x bet; a Chest Respin that hits it ends and remaining respins are forfeited. Line pays move with your bet; MONEY values are x total bet. Set aside a fixed amount, play small and end once it is spent.
Chests of Cai Shen paytable
RM amounts the rules page shows at a total bet of RM2.00 for 5, 4, 3 (and 2 for the god of wealth) on a payline; they change with your bet.
