Free Respin: the monkey's second chance
The help page draws the monkey Wild right inside the Free Respin rules, and the Special Reel does not respin during the feature. There are three cases:
- One reel holds the same Wild symbol but there is no winning payline: you get a second chance to respin the other reels.
- Two reels hold the same Wild symbol: you get a chance to respin the Wild to cover another reel.
- The respin started from one Wild reel and a second Wild reel appears after it: you get a second chance to respin the Wild to cover another reel.
The small print on respins
Each case carries the same note in brackets: the result must be greater than or equal to the initial result, and the initial result does not calculate winnings. So the spin before the respin is not paid on its own. At one point the help page prints this bracket twice in a row; it is the same sentence, not an extra rule.
The fourth reel sets the rate
To the right of the three main reels is the Special Reel. All winning payouts are multiplied by the rate that stops at its centre. In general betting it holds 6 rates: 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x and 15x.
Monkey, fruit and BARs
Wins need 3 identical symbols from left to right on a line, and wins on different lines are added. The white-haired monkey with raised fists is the Wild: it substitutes for any symbols and three pay 20.00 at a bet of 1. The red parrot pays 4.00 and the BAR signs sit at the bottom of the table.
Extra Bet, read carefully
Extra Bet costs an additional 50% of the betting amount and removes the 1x from the Special Reel. The help page says Extra Bet will significantly increase the probability of the appearance of high-rate symbols; that is the game's own claim, quoted, with no numbers behind it. It also prints a formula, Extra bets winnings = (Odds x General bet x Special reel multiplier) / 5!, printed exactly like that, without explaining the division. We do not recommend it either way: it raises every spin's cost by half.
A sensible session
Set your budget at the normal bet price, play small while you watch how the respins look, and stop when the budget is spent.
Fortune Monkey paytable
Pays for three identical symbols on a line, shown for a bet of 1 and then multiplied by the Special Reel rate.
